A sterling silver ring, crafted by New Maker Egle Silko. Molten metal is laid flat and sculpted by hand, then curved into its final shape. Each ring carries subtle variations, with tool indentations left visible as marks of the making process.

Based in Tallinn, Estonia, Egle draws inspiration from natural Nordic landscapes and the inherent fluidity of her material. She uses reticulation and freehand melting techniques to form distinctive textures.

This item is part of our New Makers programme. In its eighth year, five makers demonstrating excellence in skill, originality and craftsmanship have been chosen by a TOAST panel. We offer a platform to sell their pieces as well as mentoring until the end of this year, with full profits being returned to them.
